Report highlights

Keep Hawaii’s report areas and sample periods distinct

Honolulu · 2026 report

One report code does not describe every property

The reviewed Board of Water Supply report is the 2026 issue with report code 00111043. Its source list is specific to the address represented by that report code and is not generalized to the entire HNL-WINDWARD-PEARL HARBOR system.

The report contains older sampling periods, including July–December 2023 lead and copper results. Its 2026 issue date does not make every row a 2026 sample.

Hilo · 2025 report

Read the collection year beside each result

Hilo’s 2025 report includes samples from 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Our overview preserves those periods and the printed table context.

A provider’s report-period statement does not establish present conditions at a household tap or the material of a particular service line.

Wailuku · 2025 report

Keep unregulated monitoring and missing values in scope

Wailuku’s report contains separately dated radiological and unregulated-monitoring material, including 2020 and 2023 samples. Read those dates with the reported values and notes.

The source’s ND statements and missing numeric unregulated-monitoring results are preserved without inventing measurements. Its service-area description does not prove service to every property in that area.

Statewide context

Choose the pathway for the actual water supply

Public systems

Use the Safe Drinking Water Branch and the supplier

Hawaii’s Safe Drinking Water Branch provides public-system information, laboratory resources, notices and source-water guidance. County and island names provide context, while the public water system ID identifies a system record.

The state’s regulated-system list is dated May 15, 2025. Keep that date visible when using it as a reference; it is not a newly compiled statewide inventory.

Private wells and catchment

A public-system report does not describe a home’s own supply

Hawaii publishes separate guidance for private wells and rainwater catchment. Individual home catchment systems are not regulated by the Department of Health in the same way as public water systems.

Use the relevant owner guidance and ask a certified laboratory about the tests and collection instructions for that supply. A nearby public-system result cannot substitute for testing it.

Provider report finder

Use the Board of Water Supply’s own matching tool

The Board of Water Supply’s Find Your Water Quality Report page accepts a full or partial address in its report-search field. Its help includes street-name examples and suffix abbreviations; assistance is available at (808) 748-5041.

Use the supplier’s tool or contact the supplier to confirm which report applies. The reviewed report code 00111043 should not be assumed to cover every customer. This guide does not select a report or establish service for a reader’s address.

Official resources

Use maps, notices and laboratory lists for their stated purpose

Groundwater information

The contamination viewer is not a household water result

The state’s map guidance describes confirmed organic-contaminant detections reported for drinking-water wells, selected non-potable wells and fresh-water springs. Those source records have their own collection and confirmation context.

A map location does not identify the supplier serving a property or establish treated-water or household-tap conditions.

Notices and reports

Confirm the provider and reporting period

Use the state notice destination and the supplier’s current message for an advisory question. Check the issuer, affected area, effective dates and any later update; an empty listing does not establish that no notice applies.

For an annual report, choose the named system and covered period. Ask the supplier for a usable copy or the appropriate language assistance if needed.

Lead and laboratory testing

Confirm the property record and the laboratory’s scope

Use the state’s lead service-line resources and ask the supplier for the material information associated with the connection. A system’s lead summary does not determine a particular home’s pipe material.

Hawaii’s laboratory guidance says to confirm current certification and ensure any subcontracted tests also go to a laboratory certified by the state. Ask about the specific analyses and collection instructions before sampling.

Common questions

Questions about Hawaii’s water information

Report area

Does report code 00111043 cover all of Honolulu?

No. The reviewed report’s source list is specific to the address represented by that code. Use the provider’s matching tool or contact the supplier before applying it to another property.

Map scope

Does a groundwater map establish my tap-water result?

No. The map describes source-location detections from different kinds of wells and springs. It does not establish property service, treatment outcomes or conditions at a household tap.

Collection dates

Why do recent reports include much older samples?

The selected reports print separate collection periods for their rows. Keep the sample date, measure and table note together rather than replacing them with the report’s issue year.
