Violation Records
Violation records shown on this page
This section shows 0 system-scoped violation detail records currently included for LEES SUMMIT PWS. Annual reports and current notices can use different timing and terminology.
No system-scoped violation detail records are included in the available reviewed records for this system. This is not an official compliance finding. Check the official utility, state, or EPA source for current compliance and notice information.
Source notes for this system mention violation-related context, but this page does not currently display separate system-scoped violation detail records.
Provider confirmation
Lee's Summit and LEES SUMMIT PWS
The city page helps orient you to the local utility. The public-water-system page owns the detailed PWSID record.
Verified system relationship
Official Lee's Summit utility, Missouri DNR, and EPA records connect the city context to LEES SUMMIT PWS, PWSIDMO1010459. The utility's report page is the relationship source, while the PWSID is the durable system identity.
Sources: Lee's Summit water-quality report pageand EPA identity record.
What this does not prove
A city name, utility relationship, population, or wholesale source does not prove that LEES SUMMIT PWS serves every Lee's Summit address. Confirm the provider with your water bill, utility account, or the utility before using system-level records for an address question.
This page is not an address-level service lookup and does not establish current household-tap conditions.
Service-area evidence
No drinking-water boundary is verified
The exact EPA Version 3 lookup returned a lead-service-line inventory feature, not an authoritative drinking-water service boundary.
What the exact lookup establishes
- PWSID and name
- MO1010459 · LEES SUMMIT PWS
- Feature type
- Lead Service Line Inventory
- Data source
- City October 2024 LSLI inventory
- Service-area label
- Municipality · 38,708 listed connections
Open the exact EPA Version 3 query. The returned feature is retained as evidence context, not drawn as a drinking-water boundary.
What remains unresolved
The inventory feature does not establish which provider serves a particular address, how the utility's retail and wholesale areas are divided, or whether its 38,708-connection count is comparable to the EPA identity record's system count. No map is shown because the available geometry has the wrong evidence scope.
Next retrieval: request an authoritative public provider lookup or dated service-area/interconnection record bound to MO1010459. Exclude private addresses and security-sensitive details.
This limitation applies on both the city orientation page and the detailed system page. Confirm an address with a bill, account, or official utility lookup.
Source-water relationship
Purchased water through consecutive connections
The utility describes Lee's Summit as receiving drinking water from other public water systems.
- Kansas City PWS
- Named as a wholesale source in the reviewed utility and report context. It remains a source relationship, not the LEES SUMMIT PWS identity or proof that Kansas City serves a particular address.
- Independence PWS
- Also named as a wholesale source through the consecutive-connection relationship. It is not substituted for MO1010459 in the report rows or system profile.
Source basin and assessment record
The reviewed sources do not establish a complete named-well, intake, watershed, or PWSID-bound source-water assessment record for this page. City geography and wholesale-source names are not substitutes for that evidence.
Evidence-limited next step: request the applicable Missouri source-water assessment and any named source facilities for MO1010459.
The 2025 report preserves rows attributed to those named source systems separately from local LEES SUMMIT PWS rows. That distinction matters when reading the complete report table.
Source: Lee's Summit 2026 report page and theMissouri DNR 2025 report. Wholesale-source relationships do not define a complete service boundary.
Treatment evidence
Treatment details remain evidence-limited
The reviewed sources establish a purchased-water relationship but do not establish a current Lee's Summit treatment train.
What is not established here
The source set does not verify current treatment processes, disinfectant residual method, corrosion-control treatment, or fluoridation status for MO1010459. Report rows and general utility water-system descriptions are not enough to infer those operating details.
Next retrieval: request the current treatment and operating record from Lee's Summit Water Utilities or Missouri DNR, with the PWSID and facility scope named in the request.
Reviewed paths: utility water-system page, utility report page, and theMissouri drinking-water viewer. No current process claim is made.
System infrastructure
Utility history and stated capacity
The utility gives historical context and a stated system capacity; these figures are not a property-level service map or operating measurement.
- System origin
- Lee's Summit says the water system was built in 1916.
- Stated capacity
- 32.5 million gallons daily (MGD), according to the utility.
- Water mains
- More than 650 miles of water mains.
- Hydrants and valves
- 4,925 hydrants and 14,000 valves.
- Pumping stations
- Three pumping stations.
- Storage
- Eight water towers or storage tanks, with about 35 million gallons of storage.
These are utility-published system figures, not a complete facility inventory, distribution map, current production level, or condition assessment for every component. Those are separate evidence questions.

Monitoring context
UCMR rows stay tied to the 2025 report
The complete extraction includes local UCMR rows plus separately attributed reseller and optional-monitoring groups.
Three local UCMR rows
The reviewed Missouri DNR report extraction preserves three rows in its local UCMR section, including the printed dates, units, values, and blank or non-detect notation where shown.
Separate source attribution
Other report groups are not silently folded into local system results. A report row is historical evidence for its printed scope, not a current exposure, compliance, or household-tap conclusion.
Source: Missouri DNR 2025 Annual Water Quality Report; all report rows were reviewed against the three-page source PDF.
Lead and copper monitoring
Two local report rows use monitoring statistics
The 2025 report includes local lead-and-copper rows; their period, statistic, units, and printed criteria stay attached to the source table.
The two local rows are report-period monitoring evidence, not an individual household-tap result. A 90th-percentile or action-level field cannot determine the condition of a particular home's plumbing or the current status of a notice.
View the lead-and-copper rows in the report tableSource: Missouri DNR 2025 report. The utility's lead information and inventory are linked separately below.
Lead service lines
Public inventory access, without property-level inference
Lee's Summit links a January 2026 public lead service-line inventory and says an inventory can be requested from the utility.
The public inventory is a dated utility record. It does not establish whether a particular address has a lead, galvanized, unknown, or other service-line material, and it is not a drinking-water service boundary.
Replacement program
A current replacement schedule, eligibility rules, funding, and property-verification path were not established in the reviewed sources. An inventory is not proof that a replacement program exists or that work is complete.
The next evidence step is a verified property or aggregate inventory response from the utility. This page makes no claim about any home's plumbing or tap water.
Water characteristics
Hardness is not yet established
No accepted total-hardness value, range, unit, period, or basis was found in the reviewed Lee's Summit report and utility sources.
This is an unfinished evidence question, not a finding that the water has no hardness information. Do not infer soft, moderate, or hard water from the purchased-water relationship, treatment language, or city name.
Next retrieval: request a PWSID-bound hardness result or utility specification with the sample period, location, unit, and basis.
The topic remains visible so a missing record is not mistaken for a completed or not-applicable item.
Annual report archive
Current report and recovered archive
The Missouri DNR report and the utility's 2022–2026 archive pages preserve dated source evidence. These records are not live notices, current compliance determinations, or household-tap results.
- Report identity
- LEES SUMMIT PWS · MO1010459 · 2025 annual report
- Coverage
- 41 current DNR rows across 3 PDF pages
- Source date
- Current DNR report dated March 27, 2026; reviewed August 26, 2026
The extraction preserves detected and undetected values where printed, units, ranges, limits, qualifiers, blanks, footnotes, definitions, local rows, and reseller-attributed rows. The complete current row table is rendered on the system page after this context section.
Recovered official archive
5 official utility report pages were reviewed in full for reporting periods 2021–2025. Their 169 source-table records remain grouped by publication year and table; blank cells stay blank and source attribution is not reassigned to MO1010459.

Special Lead and Copper Notice · source table 3
If present, elevated levels of lead can cause serious health problems, especially for pregnant women and young children. Lead in drinking water is primarily from materials and components associated with service lines and home plumbing. Lee's Summit PWS is responsible for providing high-quality drinking water, but cannot control the variety of materials used in plumbing components. When your water has been sitting for several hours you can minimize the potential for lead exposure by flushing your tap for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. If you are concerned about lead in your water, you may wish to have your water tested. Information on lead in drinking water, testing methods and steps you can take to minimize exposure is available from the Safe Drinking Water Hotline 1.800.426.4791 or at the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Current DNR definitions, footnotes, and source limitations
- Population
- 99400. This is the equivalent residential population served including non-bill paying customers.
- 90th percentile
- For Lead and Copper testing. 10% of test results are above this level and 90% are below this level.
- AL
- Action Level, or the concentration of a contaminant which, when exceeded, triggers treatment or other requirements which a water system must follow.
- HAA5
- Haloacetic Acids (mono-, di- and tri-chloroacetic acid, and mono- and di-bromoacetic acid) as a group.
- LRAA
- Locational Running Annual Average, or the locational average of sample analytical results for samples taken during the previous four calendar quarters.
- MCLG
- Maximum Contaminant Level Goal, or the level of a contaminant in drinking water below which there is no known or expected risk to health. MCLGs allow for a margin of safety.
- MCL
- Maximum Contaminant Level, or the highest level of a contaminant that is allowed in drinking water. MCLs are set as close to the MCLGs as feasible using the best available treatment technology.
- n/a
- not applicable.
- nd
- not detectable at testing limits.
- NTU
- Nephelometric Turbidity Unit, used to measure cloudiness in drinking water.
- ppb
- parts per billion or micrograms per liter.
- ppm
- parts per million or milligrams per liter.
- RAA
- Running Annual Average, or the average of sample analytical results for samples taken during the previous four calendar quarters.
- Range of Results
- Shows the lowest and highest levels found during a testing period, if only one sample was taken, then this number equals the Highest Test Result or Highest Value.
- SMCL
- Secondary Maximum Contaminant Level, or the secondary standards that are non-enforceable guidelines for contaminants and may cause cosmetic effects (such as skin or tooth discoloration) or aesthetic effects (such as taste, odor or color) in drinking water. EPA recommends these standards but does not require water systems to comply.
- TT
- Treatment Technique, or a required process intended to reduce the level of a contaminant in drinking water.
- TTHM
- Total Trihalomethanes (chloroform, bromodichloromethane, dibromochloromethane, and bromoform) as a group.
- Monitoring note. The state has reduced monitoring requirements for certain contaminants to less often than once per year because the concentrations of these contaminants are not expected to vary significantly from year to year. Records with a sample year more than one year old are still considered representative. No data older than 5 years need be included. If more than one sample is collected during the monitoring period, the Range of Sampled Results will show the lowest and highest tested results. The Highest Test Result, Highest LRAA, or Highest Value must be below the maximum contaminant level (MCL) or the contaminant has exceeded the level of health based standards and a violation is issued to the water system. (PDF page 2.)
- Secondary standards note. Secondary standards are non-enforceable guidelines for contaminants that may cause cosmetic effects (such as skin or tooth discoloration) or aesthetic effects (such as taste, odor or color) in drinking water. EPA recommends these standards but does not require water systems to comply. (PDF page 3.)
Historical annual-report boundary: This 2025 annual report is historical evidence. Results, violation statements, provider statements, health text, and lead or service-line language do not establish present compliance, a current notice or advisory, water safety, exposure, address-level service, service-line material, household conditions, or conditions at a particular tap.
Calendar-year violation statement: The LEES SUMMIT PWS table prints 'No Violations Occurred in the Calendar Year of 2025.' This source-attributed historical statement is not converted into present compliance, the absence of a current notice, or a safety conclusion.
Named wholesale systems remain distinct: Page 3 attributes results and three historical violation rows to KANSAS CITY PWS, INDEPENDENCE PWS, or JACKSON COUNTY PWSD 2. The 27 reseller result rows retain the printed Water System name, and the reseller violation rows remain context only; none is recast as a local LEES SUMMIT PWS result or current condition.
System preview remains unchanged: All 39 added rows remain report-scoped. The LEES SUMMIT PWS system profile keeps exactly its existing local DBPDUAL-04 HAA5 and TTHM preview row objects, contaminant selection, limitations, and July 30, 2026 retrieval dates.

Seasonal changes
No system-specific seasonal source or treatment-change notice was verified. Do not infer seasonal switching from capacity or purchased water.
Drought and restrictions
A current Lee's Summit system restriction stage was not transcribed from the reviewed sources. Check official city instructions for the current position.
Outage and flushing paths
The utility contact and notices pages are the verified destinations; they are not represented here as a complete real-time outage feed.

Rates and billing information
The utility publishes a rate-information destination; current class-specific amounts and assistance terms are not transcribed here.
Keep billing information separate from report results. Check the utility rate page for the effective schedule and contact the utility about account-specific charges or assistance eligibility.
Open Lee's Summit rate informationEvidence status: destination verified; current rate values and assistance rules remain a follow-up item rather than an inferred affordability claim.

Water-quality concerns
Use customer service for a water-quality or service concern and ask which current utility or state path applies. A complaint or call is a contact event, not a verified public finding.
Checked . A source page is a contact path, not proof that a notice is active or that a specific address is connected.
Household questions
Household testing program is not verified
No current Lee's Summit customer sample-request program with eligibility, fee, collection instructions, and interpretation terms was accepted in this review.
Schools and public buildings
No Lee's Summit-specific school, childcare, or public-building testing program or released facility results were verified in this review. Facility-specific results must not be generalized to MO1010459.
For a household-specific question, ask the utility what testing or sample-request options apply to your address and what the result would represent. Do not treat the annual report table as a household-tap test.
Next retrieval: request the current program terms from Water Utilities and preserve the laboratory, collection, cost, and eligibility details if supplied.
Ask the utility about customer testingThe section remains visible because no accepted program record is not the same as proof that no program exists.
Governance and participation
Official utility participation paths
The utility provides an advisory-board destination and an official notices path; event-specific meeting details are not summarized here.
Use the Water Utilities Advisory Board pagefor the utility's public participation information and theofficial notices page for current city notices. Confirm meeting dates, agendas, and public-comment instructions on those official pages before relying on them.
This destination-level evidence does not establish a particular action, meeting outcome, or current notice status.
Regulatory record context
Report-period statements and source attribution
The 2025 report keeps local LEES SUMMIT PWS language separate from historical rows attributed to wholesale systems.
Local report statement
The report contains a calendar-year 2025 statement for LEES SUMMIT PWS. It is retained with the report's date, wording, and limitations; it is not converted into a current compliance conclusion.
Wholesale-attributed rows
Three historical violation rows are attributed to named reseller or wholesale systems in the printed report. They are not recast as current LEES SUMMIT PWS violations.
Enforcement context
No separate action IDs or return-to-compliance record was accepted beyond the dated report wording. A report statement is not a live enforcement status.
Waivers and exemptions
No PWSID-bound variance, exemption, or monitoring-waiver decision with effective dates was established in the reviewed sources.
Sanitary surveys
No released system-specific sanitary-survey or capacity-development finding was accepted. Request the record rather than infer a clean or unsafe result.
Current notices can change. Check Lee's Summit alerts, the Missouri DNR viewer, and the utility before making a current-status decision.
Important limitation
Profile summary note
This page summarizes public records reviewed by this site. It does not replace official notices, utility updates, or state drinking water information.
System profile limitations
- The enriched report section renders all 41 extracted 2025 rows. The two-row legacy preview contract remains an internal publication control and is not the page's coverage claim; every rendered value remains report-period evidence, not a current point sample.
- The report's page-3 reseller rows and wholesale-source notices remain attributed to their printed source systems and are not recast as LEES SUMMIT PWS results or violations.
- The page does not reproduce every narrative word from the report, but it preserves the extracted rows, definitions, footnotes, and material source-attribution notes.
- Address-level service can vary. Confirm the serving provider with a bill, account portal, utility, city, or state source.
- The Lee's Summit relationship supports navigation only and does not prove exclusive coverage or the provider for every address.
- This page renders all 41 rows from the 2025 report and the five recovered official utility archive pages covering reporting periods 2021–2025. Source-table values, blanks, qualifiers, and attribution remain tied to each printed report.
- Missing fields are not findings. They mean the field is not shown on this page from the records currently available.
- This page summarizes available public records. It may not include every update, notice, or urgent official advisory.
